Ability to multi-task with several set-ups running multiple machines at one time. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings to programmed control data ensuring functionality and performance. • Review and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements. • Aligns and secures holding fixtures (such as: collets, vices, indicating vices), cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and tooling pre-setter. • Understand, calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow and enter command to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media; observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of–tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, height gauges, and gauge blocks. • Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. • Comply with company requirements in completing essential documentation as required. • Train, assist and support employees in producing quality parts and in completing all process requirements. • Assure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken to reduce the risk of injury. • Maintain a clean work area and assure safe operation of all equipment. • Must be available on reasonable notice for unscheduled overtime to meet production schedules. • Perform and document Operator Preventative Maintenance operations as needed. • Must fully understand setup and operation of at least two machining field (mills, chucker lathes, Swiss lathes, grinders, EDMs, etc.) or different types/manufacturers of same machining field OCCASIONAL DUTIES: • Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools. • Assist production in all areas. • Assist with tooling / fixturing build. • Occasionally, miscellaneous non-recurring duties may be assigned such as, but not limited to, packing, shipping, unpacking and sorting, inspection, cleaning, finishing, deburring, etc. EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent. Assures that paperwork is current and signed on the date of the procedure. • Prepares and restocks the Pre-Operative area for the following day. • Coordinates the flow of the daily procedures, with the OR nurse. • Keeps patient family apprised of any delays in the schedule. • Attends and participates in staff meetings and staff development programs. • Assists in PACU as available and needed. Candidates have current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Utah and current CPR and ACLS certification. Must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day, to lift and/or carry over 25 pounds on a regular basis, and to push/pull over 50 pounds on a regular basis.
