Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. • Picks up residents who are to be admitted to our facility from home or hospital • Take residents to and from appointments (doctors' offices, dentist, etc.) in company vehicle • Delivers and picks up paperwork from doctor's offices • Takes residents to home and to hospital after discharged from facility • Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle • Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip • Promotes a cordial atmosphere by conversing with patients while transporting • May run miscellaneous errands pertaining to patient needs • Makes reminder calls to family members the day before scheduled appointments • Performs daily maintenance check on the vehicle before operation • Records vehicle mileage when fueling vehicles • Reports usage of transportation to billing manager • Assists with scheduling all doctor visits for residents • Cleans vehicle at the end of each day Education • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Language Skills • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safely rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write route reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Report all problems to maintenance department or vendors assigned to maintain these systems. * Measure tank levels 3 times per day.
